Pelvic Health Physical Therapy
& Rehab

 Restore pelvic health by
healing your mind and body.

At One Physical Therapy and Wellness, located in Philadelphia and Bryn Mawr, we treat a variety of pelvic floor disorders with a balanced, holistic and functional approach. We realize that we are also orthopedic practitioners and know that the best way to approach treating pelvic dysfunction is by taking a look at the big picture.

First Pelvic Health Physical Therapy Visit

All visits are with a licensed physical therapist who specializes in pelvic health, and are about 50 minutes in duration. On your first visit your Pelvic Health physical therapist will perform an evaluation consisting of the following:

  • A thorough history of your pelvic floor condition

  • A discussion of your medical history

  • A screening of the musculoskeletal system

  • A postural and functional assessment

  • An assessment of the pelvic floor, and likely an in-depth examination of the lumbar, hip sacroiliac, thoracic and abdominal regions

What Will Happen During Your Physical Therapy Treatments

Together you and your therapist will develop the best treatment plan for you and your specific pelvic health condition. We use tools including manual therapy, Pilates, functional movement exercise, bowel and bladder training, and postural education to help you restore your comfort and function.

Feel free to contact us office@oneptandwellness.com with any questions regarding evaluation or treatment of your condition, or to set a time to talk with one of our therapists.
