What is telehealth physical therapy?

Via our HIPAA-compliant patient platform (doxy.me), we can assess movement patterns, ROM, strength, functional abilities and ADLs. We can also provide patient education by answering questions concerning their health status and plan of care, teach exercises, ensure that patients are doing the exercises correctly, and progress programs as appropriate. Patients will experience our same highly skilled treatments from the comfort of their home. We can use this Telehealth tool in multiple ways to serve our patients: for follow-up appointments, ergonomics assessments, wellness check-ins, exercise progression, staying on top of care plans for established patients, and even for initial evaluations and treatments for new patients or new problems.

  • Telehealth is now covered by Medicare! Most commercial carriers are providing some coverage, but it does vary depending on your plan. We are happy to bill sessions to your carrier for you but if your deductible has not been met or if your carrier in particular does not cover it, our prices are $90 for a 45 minute new patient Evaluation and $65 for a 30 minute session with one of our licensed PTs.

  • They can still receive telehealth at our self-pay rates of $90 or $65.

They play a key role in keeping people they can help out of doctor’s offices and ERs. This will not only free up the medical teams to treat those impacted byCOVID-19, but also limit the exposure of those seeking the care of the physical therapist”.
